We got some much needed couch time over the break.
Our new neighbors/friends (The Gerritson's) invited us over for New Year's Eve. We ate lots of yummy snacks, made some new friends, and played a bunch of games (Jason endured well with the games). Just before midnight they got out poppers and everyone gathered around. Beck crawled into my lap and before we finished our count down he was fast asleep and slept the whole way home. We had walked over and had ourselves a nice brisk (FREEZING) walk back home.
During the break we were getting ready for Jonah's baptism. It was supposed to be on Jan. 31st. We had gone suit shopping and bought him some scriptures and had even purchased and made some of the food for after. Then poor Jonah got sick. It was such a bummer but he had a fever and had lost his voice with a croupy cough. Poor little lamb. Around 6 on Friday night we had to call and cancel his baptism. He was so sad when we told him. He couldn't say anything but his little chin quivered. He ended up missing church Sunday and school on Monday.
We also had our 16 year anniversary over the break. Woohoo! We went to the movies (Night at the Museum 3) with the kids and the Hess family (poor Everly ended up getting lice there). Mom stayed here to watch Lucy for us and that sweet little thing fell asleep on the couch with grandma. She NEVER falls asleep anywhere but her crib so I was super surprised. Jason and I got to have lunch together and some TV time.
On New Year's Day we were all so exhausted. Even Lucy stayed up till 1am. We didn't eat breakfast until 11 and then just vegged. Graham, Jason, & I watched the Lord of the Rings.
