Festival of Trees and Other Festive Things

Our tree spent some time outside before we got around to bringing it in the house.  It didn't take too long before we realized that it was TOO big.  We tried it at the highest point in the room but it just hit the ceiling fan and then was smashed against the ceiling.  So we took it back outside and gave it a little trim.  It fit better but was still too tall for our star so we had to give it one more whack off the top.  It took a little longer to get around to putting lights on it and then a little longer to put on ornaments but we LOVE it.

Jonah's 2nd grade sang at the festival of trees.  I got to go as a chaperone.  The theme of their tree was Rudolph in Pajamas.

Dad came to hear him sing and Jonah and I ate our sack lunches with his friend Ripkin.  The bus ride home took FOREVER.  It was so fun spending the day with Jonah.
Lucy and Beck shared an Icee while Christmas shopping.
I got to go see Alex in the Nutcracker.  Santa came to our ward Christmas party.  We waited in a REALLY long line to see him but I think it was worth it.

Jonah had his Christmas sing.  Lucy brought Little Bill along and licked his head.  You can always count on Jonah to be happy to see us.  We made sure to sit up front so he could see us.  He didn't disappoint and gave us a big wave.  He sang good too.

Beck had a Christmas sing too.

We did some cookie decorating.  I had a frosting coloring incident and we ended up with a nasty green color.  They still tasted fabulous!
