Fall Break

We had so much fun in Moab last year for Fall Break that we wanted to go again.  When we tried to make reservations we learned that all the hotels were filled.  I was super sad about that until the whole government shut down of national parks fell over Fall Break and we wouldn't have been able to go to Arches.  So, we made a last minute decision to go to Midway instead and stay at the Zermatt.

It was a cute little Swiss like hotel and we got a room with a fireplace.  It wasn't so freezing that we needed a fireplace but we wanted one.  So we slept with the a/c on so we could also sleep with the fireplace on.  Awesome.

They had a scarecrow walk we wandered through until it got too windy and dark.  Across the way at the Homestead there is a crater that you can swim in.  Jason and I had a friend in college who taught scuba diving lessons there and snuck a bunch of us in one night to go swimming.  Good times.  This time we went with the boys and there was no sneaking.

The water was super warm and we weren't sure Beck would even get in since he likes his bath water luke cold.  He did get in and he loved it.

Lucy and I went on a stroller around and up to the top of the crater while the boys swam.  I had to carry Lucy in her stroller up a whole LOT of stairs.  At the top was the best view of the fall leaves and this is where Lucy had her first taste of a Circus Peanut.  Of course she loved it!

It ended up being a really fun trip.  We ate donuts for breakfast and pizza for dinner.  What more could 3 little boys ask for.

To finish off Fall Break I got to go to the BYU Homecoming game with Jason.
