Christmas Devotional
Pam and Richard invited us to go with them to the First Presidency Christmas Devotional on Sunday. It was the perfect thing to start the Christmas season and get me thinking about the true meaning of Christmas. The thing that stuck out most to me was when Pres. Monson (I think it was him) said that we shouldn't be as worried about what we are going to do with our money this year as we are about what we are going to do with our time.
After we got to go to Pam's Relief Society Board Christmas Party. This picture is of Pam getting her dessert ready. The room was beautiful and I should have taken more pictures but I didn't :(. They had a program with music and people sharing favorite Christmas memories and then we ate. There were so many amazing women there that I couldn't get over all the good examples around me and it gave me such a desire to be more and better. My favorite was Sister Chieko Okazaki (I'm sure I spelled that wrong). I read all her books in high school and getting to meet her was so neat. She was funny and so sweet as I watched her help one of the children there dish up a dessert that they were having trouble with. What a neat night! Thanks Pam and Richard so much for inviting us!
