Gold Medal School

Everyone knows Amy R. is fabulous and an over achiever at being healthy and helping her kids be healthy. It's one of the things I admire about her. Last year she ran a program at the elementary school called "Gold Medal Schools". It's where you make some healthy changes at the school and in return you get $ for your school. Well, Amy took a job with Gold Medal this year and so our school was in need of a new school coordinator. This is where I come in. After much persuasion I finally agreed to help run the Gold Medal program with Amy.
We kicked off our Gold Medal year with an assembly done by the student council. Our goal this year is to walk enough miles to go all the way around the earth.
Then we headed out to the field where all the kids got to walk their first lap of the year. Each class keeps track of their laps and each month the class with the most laps wins a prize.

I got to see my cute Graham as he made his way around the field.

The things I let people talk me into...love ya Amy.

You're so good at being involved. I am sure you will do a great job. I thought you had to slurp your entire book at once - if not, how do you do it (not that I am quite ready to get started again but it would be nice to know for when I am husbandless this fall). And I did end up taking Ellie out of preschool.

We are a Gold Medal school too. Every class walks a mile a day. Aidan's class is usually out walking as I leave school. I am impressed that you are taking that on!
