Once again we broke out the new bike trailer and this time headed to Bridal Veil Falls to start off our 4th of July festivities.
Graham was cracking us up by holding his shorts up so they wouldn't get wet. Of course by the end he had slipped and was soaking wet anyway. Jonah wasn't so worried about getting wet and loved jumping off the rocks.
After Graham sat and pondered life and Jonah fell in the water and got all muddy to the point of having to ride home in his diaper...
These two parents were ready to head back and have some lunch.
After naps...
the boys did their snaps or pops or whatever you call them while Jason got the fire pit going to do some hamburgers. Then for dessert we decided to try a new recipe for homemade ice cream that you use dry ice with. All was well until Jason added too much dry ice at once. The ice cream started bubbling over and before we could stop it, it was bubbling over the sides of the bowl in a constant stream onto the kitchen floor. It was pretty funny and sticky. The finished product was yummy. It kind of tasted like carbonated ice cream.
Then it was off to the fireworks. We got lucky and found the perfect parking spot so we could make a quick get a way once they were over. As always Graham plugged his ears and Jonah was extra enthusiastic!
Last but not least, fireworks with Mikey and Grandpa and Grandma.
First the boys light that big stick thingy (possibly called a punk but I could be wrong).

Sounds like you guys had lots of fun!!
You have such a cute, fun family! Looks like you had a blast on the 4th. I love all the pictures! =0)
Did you guys ride your bikes from home to the falls? Very impressive! I won't be coming down tomorrow. My family is expected back from the river tomorrow so no more playing - time to clean house. I am going to try and call in the morning though just to catch up. Are you interested in maybe seeing another one of my Dad's crazy plays within the next few weeks? I may be needing a date if Brian isn't going to be around (which sadly enough I am not counting on).
Thanks for coming down. I am glad you didn't fall asleep on the way home! That is funny about Graham not wanting to get his shorts wet. Cute kids!
