Easter

Our favorite way to color Easter eggs is with food coloring and a white crayon to color on the egg before we dip it.  I laughed this year because we colored so many eggs so that everyone could do a bunch but then we never really ate them.

The Easter bunny tried to go easy on the sugar since the big boys are still not eating sugar during the weekdays.
We got to have dinner with Grandma Pam and Grandpa Richard.  When we got home we did an egg hunt.

As much fun as the candy and egg decorating and egg hunt were we are so thankful for Easter and the reminder of the atonement and the resurrection.  I had an especially meaningful Easter because I finished our RS challenge to read the Book of Mormon by Easter.  I read my last few pages that morning and Lucy had crawled into bed with me and snuggled up and fell back to sleep and it was such a great way and day to finish.

Easter marked the beginning of our spring break.  We had big plans to go to St. George before Jason had to leave town on Tuesday.  At the last minute we had a change of plans.  Our trampoline was delivered and since the hole was already dug in the ground we had a family vote and the majority voted to stay home and put together the trampoline.  So that's what we did.

It took a little longer than we anticipated and when we finally got a hold of the right tools that helped to speed things along.  It was fun to watch Graham and Jonah using power tools to drill holes and put in screws.  In fact I think it ended up being great family time.  We didn't get the enclosure on until Tuesday because it was too crazy windy and cold on Monday.  Of course once it was all done on Tuesday then Wednesday came all rainy and yucky so the kids couldn't even use it.  Jason was gone for 3 days and it seemed like so was the rest of the neighborhood.  There wasn't much to do, but we slept in and relaxed and it was still nice.
