Jonah's Baptism

The big day finally arrived!  January 31, 2015.  As Jonah was getting ready in his new sweet suit I asked him what he was most excited about.  I thought he would say that he was excited for special family that was coming to the baptism.  Or maybe he would mention the dessert buffet that he had requested for after.  Instead he said he was most excited to get baptized.

It was a chilly windy day but he endured cold toes long enough to take a picture or two outside.

There were 2 other girls being baptized from our ward.  Grandpa Richard gave a great talk on baptism and there was a musical number.  We went back to the font one family at a time.  Since we had to change Jonah's baptism date some of our family was not able to come.  We were blessed to have Grandpa Richard and Uncle Brian as witnesses.  Jason and Graham have been doing a lot of baptisms for the dead so Jason paused for a second right before starting.  Trying to remember the right wording and hoping not to accidentally say the baptism for the dead wording.  Jonah did a great job.  After they had Jason use a long thingy to unstop the drain in the font.  Lucy got a little wiggly during the confirmations so Aunt Tiff was so great to watch her in the hall so I could be there during Jonah's confirmation.  Such a neat day!

We took some pictures back at the house and Jonah was so worked up that he had a stomach ache and didn't even eat his croissant sandwich or the desserts from his buffet.

We were lucky to have Rhonda and Mingo come visit from Idaho.  It was so wonderful seeing Rhonda and we loved getting to know Mingo.  They were so supportive of Jonah and I know he loved having them there with the rest of our family.

You are an amazing kid Jo and we are so blessed to have you and you are such an important part of our family!  Thanks for setting such a great example.
