BYU Women's Conference

Pam was on the BYU Women's Conference committee the past few years.  So I had the opportunity (that's the nice way to say it) to be a presenter this year.  I was in good company with my brother-in-law Brian and several people from my stake.  We met on Thursday morning to be a part of the prayer meeting where Sis. Burton RS General Pres. spoke and the new Pres. of BYU.  Then we got to go through the tunnel to get on the floor of the Marriott Center where we heard Sis. Sheri Dew speak.

I sat with Alexa Webb from my stake and Becky Criddle my speaking partner.

Pam sitting up on the stand and Sheri Dew chatting after the meeting.

On Friday Anna got to come with me and we met up with Tiffany.

I was a little nervous to speak.  Becky and I had been given 6 tickets each to give to family so I figured maybe we would have an audience of 12 to speak to.  Before my session started I was out in the hall looking for my mom (who happened to already be seated inside) and by the time I came in our 12 seats were filled and a couple hundred more...I tried not to panic.  Our topic was prayer and Becky gave an amazing talk and I fumbled through mine without too many hiccups.

My favorite part was that my Aunt Pat who lives in Alaska came.  The top picture is for her but I knew mom would like the picture of herself better in the second one so I posted them both :).    Oh, and I also loved the free fudge I got and the chocolate covered cinnamon bears I bought and spending the day with Anna who I hadn't seen in forever!  Jason came too but I can't post the picture of us because It is a terrible picture of me and I guess I'm a little vain :).

Another wow - way to go. I don't think I ever would be brave enough to do that, but I'm sure you were amazing. So good to see Anna - even just in pictures:)
