We had our Norby family reunion at the Heber Valley Camp. We hit the ropes course first and did the spider web activity where we had to get everyone through the web without touching it and only using each hole once. We lifted the little kids through and Tiff. We even talked Grandma Pam into letting us lift her through. I opted to climb on my own. Next we did the zip line and our little lambs were so brave!
Jonah found a caterpillar and Beck always asks, "Hold me like a bird" so Jason held him like a bird. We made our dutch oven chicken with dumplings and potatoes. We tried smore's with a Rolo in the mallow but my Rolo's were frozen so it didn't work too well. Beck had fun making a design with them and would get really mad if anyone tried to take one so we would have to trick him to get him to look away so someone could grab one.
Ashley and Leon came from Washington with their kids and for FHE each family acted out a scripture story and we had to guess each others. We did Ammon when he cut off the bad guys arms while protecting the sheep. Jonah was Ammon, Jason and Graham were bad guys and Beck and I were sheep. Beck was super excited to be a sheep and he volunteered us to go first but Graham was too embarrassed.
On Tuesday we went to the lake and did the canoe and paddle boats. Aaron and Brian got a sweet ride on the big boat. That evening we played the candy bar game and Ashley had a bunch of minute to win it games. They sucked Skittles with a straw, built Smartie towers, wiggled an Oreo into their mouths, and undid a Starburst wrapper in their mouths. We all slept ok in the cabins. The first night Jason and I were up with Beck and I went outside to go to the restroom and ran into Brian. I guess everyone was awake in their cabins too. I was always worried that Beck would fall off his bunk since he's a crazy sleeper.
We had a great time and loved being with family that we don't get to see all the time. It was pretty HOT though so next time I'm bringing a fan :).
