Since Jason has all those hotel points we decided to stay a night or two there so the boys could take advantage of the pool.
We drove down on Tuesday and spent Wednesday cooking and getting things all ready. We ate dinner that night at our favorite burrito place and then giving no heed to the wait an hour till you go swimming rule we went ahead and dove in. Apparently an extremely full pregnant woman stuffed into a too small swimsuit and floating in a pool less than an hour after eating is a recipe for disaster. I didn't bob in the water long before I was done.
Thanksgiving day the little boys went swimming again with Jason while Graham went and hit some golf balls with Grandpa Jerry.
We all met up at the house later for our yummy dinner. Niki's mom and brother came along too. After we ate (again, I was WAY too full) we headed to the movies and saw Wreck it Ralph.

Beck fell asleep all wild and crazy on the floor that night. I had a wild and crazy night too. I woke up around 1am in our hotel room with a big old side ache. I could not get it to go away. I changed positions, took Tylenol, got up and walked around. Nothing helped. The pain moved to my back and I ended up sitting in the hotel bathroom (I didn't want to wake everyone up) and playing the ipad for an hour or two. I tried to go back to sleep but I was in so much pain! I finally broke down and woke Jason up. I was so miserable that I had him give me a blessing. Then I tried taking a bath to see if that would help. It helped a little and after I was able to sleep for a little while. But when I woke up the pain was still there and as intense as before. I played the iPad some more and when it was 6am I snuck down to the lobby hoping something from the continental breakfast would help me feel better. Oh, I also threw up my Thanksgiving dinner. That was lovely.
Finally morning came and I called the Dr.'s office. Of course they were out of the office so I had to call the Dr. that was on call. It happened to be Dr. Ollerton who is my Dr. He thought it could possibly be some type of indigestion and recommended some medicine to take. Luckily my Dad had the medicines so my mom brought them over to me. They didn't seem to help much.
I had wanted to go Black Friday shopping so after we checked out from our hotel I had Jason drop me off at my parents place and then he and the boys went and did our shopping. I napped a little while they were gone and mom and dad packed up and headed back home. Our plans had been to hang out in St. George for a few more days but by the time the boys got back I was so miserable I just wanted to go home. I ended up calling my Dr. again and he asked if I was having contractions. I said no because my pain was constant it wasn't coming and going. He said I needed to come into Labor and Delivery where he happened to be on call if my pain wouldn't go away. So we packed up our stuff and cleaned up the house as fast as possible and were on our way home. I slept for an hour and luckily the rest of the drive went pretty fast. I was in so much pain. I was sitting on the edge of my seat and my fingernails were clawing into it. I decided not to go home first and that I wanted to go right to the hospital. We called Pam and Richard and had them meet us at Timp to take the boys. At the hospital they had me get into a gown and they started running tests and they did an ultra sound to check a bunch of organs which when you are pregnant are apparently all squished up under your right ribs.
The nurse asked how long I'd been having contractions. I told her I hadn't had any. She was looking at the monitor and told me I just had one. Huh, who knew. I was in so much pain that I hardly noticed that the pain would peak every so often. I was 34 weeks pregnant so stopping the contractions was their first priority. After all the test results came in we learned that I was dehydrated, had a bladder infection, and had sludge in my gall bladder (I have no idea what that means). So they started me on an IV which hydrated me and stopped my contractions. They had me drink this nasty mouth numbing "GI cocktail" to help with the gall bladder and then gave me an IV of antibiotics for the infection. We had arrived at the hospital around 7pm and didn't leave until 3am. We were exhausted. Luckily Pam and Richard kept the boys for the night and Jason and I headed home to get some much needed sleep.

Yikes - sorry that had to happen, but I'm glad she was able to hang in there a few more weeks!
