Baby Shower & Prego Pics

Some of my cutest friends had a surprise baby shower for me.  I was SO surprised (I thought I was going to a jewelry party) that I didn't even have my camera with me.  All week I had been planning on going to cousin Caitlin's birthday party in Delta we'd even bought a gift and rolls for the luncheon.  When Pam and Richard came over to ride with us Jason said that just the boys were going and we were staying.  I was confused but who doesn't love time just with their hubby.  We went Christmas shopping for a little while and then I went with Marci over to the "jewelry party" where a room full of friends yelled, "Surprise".  The shower was so fun!  So many great friends stopped by and the food was amazing (of course Holly did it) not to mention the decorations.  When I came home and showed the boys all our fabulous girl stuff Jason mentioned that he had never said the word cute so much in his whole life.

I'll admit that I complained a lot about being pregnant.  It was way more uncomfortable than I remembered 11 years ago.  I had a crazy cough all 9 months.  I even had a chest x-ray to see what was going on which came back normal.  I was nauseous for the first 4 or 5 months but only threw up 2x the whole 9 months.  I started having acid reflux but spent the last few months on medicine for the cough which got rid of the reflux.  I had to get up 2x a night most nights.  I needed to sleep with at least 3 pillows.  Jason says I took up snoring.  I was able to keep exercising up until the last month.  After that hospital visit at Thanksgiving I wasn't feeling up to doing much.  I did try and still go walking with Sandra but it would wipe me out and I'd be sore and need a nap when I got back.  The little lamb continued to be a wiggly little thing and of course got the hiccups.  My feet got all swollen.  I couldn't even wear socks without swelling around them.  Really the whole thing was amazing and a great blessing.  So worth every ache and pain!
