Fall Break in Moab

We wanted to get out of town for Fall Break so we decided to take advantage of Jason's hotel points and go somewhere we've never been...MOAB!

Some highlights from our trip were
1.  Riding in the new car
It was awesome.  We had plenty of room for our stuff, no one touched each other, the kids watched a movie with headphones, and Jason and I got to chat uninterrupted for hours!

2.  Jonah HATES walking far (I think I've mentioned this before).  We decided to take the trail to Delicate Arch.  I thought it was a little flat walking trail.  I was wrong.  It wasn't a horrible beastly hike but it was uphill a lot and 3 miles round trip.  And who would have thought that little Jonah would go the whole way without whining!

3.  When we got to the arch I was helping Jonah climb down a steep part and all the sudden he lets out the highest pitched girlly scream.  I quickly turned to see what was wrong (along with everyone else there) just in time to see a teeny tiny squirrel run in front of Jonah.

4.  We ended up hiking around 5 miles that day.  Jason and I both carried a kid.  He had Beck on his back and I had the baby in my belly.  I began my 3rd trimester on our trip.

5.  It rained the second day.  And boy did it rain!  It was so much fun to see Arches all wet and everything looked so different from the day before.

6.  For some reason the boys call raindrops on the window "little Jonny's".  I have no idea why but here is a picture of their "little Jonny's".

7.  Because of the rain there were suddenly tons of random waterfalls.  Super cool.

How fun! We opted out of the long hike up delicate arch and went with the short one to a "view area." You guys are troopers!
