We did a little sugar cookie making for Santa with Grandpa Richard and Grandma Pam.
Jason later mentioned how the boys use TONS of sprinkles and there is an inch of toppings on their cookies. Then when its time to eat the cookies they choose to eat the ones that we decorated without all the gunk on top.
Sadly Beck didn't get a nap that day because after the cookie making it was time for dinner with Grandpa Jerry, Grandma Sandy, Curry and Mike. We ate at Bucca di Beppo. Always yummy but a little extra work since Beck was tired.
Next we headed to Temple Square. I've never been there on Christmas Eve so that was fun. It was a little cold but not too crowded. The only problem we encountered was when Jonah decided he needed to pee (already doing the pee pee dance so time was of the essence) even though he had just gone at the restaurant. So I went in search of a bathroom. The visitors center was closed and I didn't think it was appropriate to pee in the bushes on Temple Square and I was running out of time and options when low and behold I remembered there was a bathroom by the assembly hall. Whew.
Poor Beck fell asleep in the car on the way home so he wasn't awake to open his Christmas jammies. Graham has a drawer full of pjs already so this year he got some new jersey sheets.
Santa got his note and cookies left out for him. In the note Graham requested that a reindeer leave a "surprise" on the doorstep. Sure enough there was a little something resembling a smooshed tootsie roll on our doorstep in the morning.
