Unexpected Outing

Jason has been serving in the scouts for the last 3 years. This summer they had their week long campout all planned and Jason had taken the time off work when he was released. Hmmm, a whole week off work with nothing to do. That's when Jason decided we should break in our new tent on a trip to Yellowstone. So off we went.
The problem was trying to fit everything into our car. It didn't fit so well, we had to go on top of our car too.

We stopped in Jackson and played around and ate at Bubba's. Graham and I shared a steak and it was AWESOME!
This guys t-shirt cracked me up. The front said PETA (people eating tasty animals). The back says, "All God's creatures look best next to the mashed potatoes and gravy".

We stayed in the Grant campground.

Yellowstone Lake was in our campground so we practiced skipping rocks. Notice the sign in the background that is half under water. The Lake is REALLY full this year.

We went to a ranger program that first night and got to cross this sweet bridge on the way there from our campsite. It reminded us of Shrek, "That'll do Donkey, that'll do".
