It was super fun once we got up to camp. I loved seeing everyone in all their camp glory. Sandra and I were in dresses (cuz they asked us too) and it was pretty funny hiking up the path to the "golden hour" (that's what they were calling the devotional time) in our Sunday shoes.
After it was over but before we could make it back to the car it started to rain...ALOT! We scrambled gathering up our things and ran back to the car. As we were sitting there a little soggy Sandra realized that she had lost her cell phone. We looked all over the car and since I had a rain jacket I got out and looked around the car but it was no where to be found. I thought maybe we should wait out the storm (there was also lightening) but Sandra thought that could be hours and she wanted to go right then and hike back up to the golden hour spot to look for the phone. I had my rain jacket (thanks Jason for reminding me to bring it) so I was only going to get sort of wet but Sandra didn't have anything but her Sunday clothes. She was determined to go so we went. We weren't 20 steps away from the car and we were drenched! It was coming down so hard and here we were running up a trail in our Sunday clothes and shoes. I was laughing so hard as we slipped in the mud and flinched when we heard thunder. Needless to say we did not find the cell phone but by the time we got back to the car Sandra was dripping wet! She was surprised to be so wet and I couldn't stop laughing.
So now we are soaking wet and still no phone and no lie we aren't back in the car for 30 sec. when it suddenly stops raining! I gave Sandra the business about being impatient and now that it had stopped raining we could go look again for the phone but she was too wet and miserable and decided she didn't care anymore.
Later that night I got a phone call from Mandi who was up at camp. She was calling me on Sandra's phone. Someone had picked it up with their stuff somehow and it was safe and sound.

I am so impressed that you had your rain coat. I do not even own one. I can just imagine you slipping around in your dress. I love it! I'm glad the phone was found and that you didn't end up spending more time looking for it in that crazy weather.
