For Graham's 3rd Grade field trip we took a little stroll to the bowling alley. It was supposed to rain that day and it did but it held off until we were back.

I brought Beck along and Graham loved having him there.
After the kids had been bowling for awhile they turned out the lights and had the glow in the dark pins. They turned up the music and I think there might have even been a disco ball involved.
The kids loved it and Graham couldn't help himself, he had to show off some of his dance moves.
It was one of the funnest field trips that I have been on with Graham. I enjoyed walking there with him and chatting with him and all of his friends. I liked watching him show off Beck (especially to the girls). After Graham bowled his first 2 times he realized that he wanted the gutter bumpers up. He didn't know if he dared since only the girls were using them but his fear of bowling only gutter balls out weighed his fear of what the boys would think of him. So he got brave and asked the Dad running the computer if he would put the bumpers up on his turn. Then a funny thing happened. All the other boys hurried and chimed in and said they wanted them up too. So all but one kid had the gutter bumper things.

The last time we took Graham bowling he got so close before he threw the ball that he slipped on the slick alley and fell. So this time he would toss his bowling ball while standing next to the ball return. I think he was super worried about falling in front of his friends and didn't want to risk getting too close. I also learned that some kids bowl dangerously! There were one too many balls that flew backwards instead of forwards and balls that ended up in the gutter even though the gutter guards were up. Too funny.
