Continuation of the Conspiracy Theory

As if the dishwasher and oven weren't enough a few weeks later my flat iron does this popping exploding thing while I'm using it and then our washing machine breaks.

So, the washing machine. We call Mr. Repairman and he looks at it and says it's broken. It looks to be the "mother board" and will cost $266.00. Lovely. The part has to be ordered and won't be in for a couple of days. Even better. So we endure a few days with no washing machine and mooch a little from Jason's parents. The part comes and Mr. Repairman puts it in starts a cycle and bids us farewell. Well, the cycle doesn't ever get completed and the washing machine is still broken. It's the weekend so we have to wait till Monday to call Mr. Repairman. We do a load at the neighbors while we wait. Mr. Repairman comes back and looks at it and says its a bad mother board and he has to send it back and order us a new one. It's getting super close to Christmas so waiting for a part to get sent by mail could take a life time. We wait. The part finally comes Mr. Repairman puts it in. Good news, the mother board works. Bad news, the machine is still broken. Now it's some valve that is $60 that needs to be replaced. Why not. So we order another part. By now the mail is like molasses and after 3 or 4 days we call Mr. Repairman who tells us that it was "on the truck" a few days ago and if it didn't come in the next day or two then it was probably lost. Of course. We do 2 loads of laundry at Jason's parents and mine. After a few days the part amazingly appears. Mr. Repairman (who is now our BFF since we see him so much) puts in the new part and the washing machine..........is...............wait for it...............STILL BROKEN! Grrrrr! Mr. Repairman is as frustrated as us. It is now Dec. 22. We tell him thanks for his efforts but we will now go shopping for a new machine. He is super kind and gives us a full refund. Dec. 23 we spend at Lowe's buying a new washing machine. Merry Christmas to us!

ps I just found a new flat iron on amazon for half price. Whew!

I am so glad Mr. Repairman gave you a full refund to put towards the new washing machine. Sorry for all of that hassle though. That sounds awful.
