Jonah's Preschool (neighborhood style)

This is Jonah getting his first picture for his first day of school. He's looking off to the side watching as the other kids arrive for preschool.
He was pretty excited about the whole thing. Especially since it's with a bunch of his friends.
Here he is showing off his sweet backpack. It's actually Graham's backpack that he couldn't find that morning so instead Graham decided to take his stuff in a Walmart bag.

Jonah didn't actually end up taking this backpack because at the last minute he got upset that it was so big and since the zipper was broken on the little one he didn't want it either.
Before the second day of preschool we ran to Walmart in the morning to grab a "just right" backpack. Of course there is no selection left but Jonah decided he would be happy with a Lightening McQueen lunch box.

Fine.

That'll do.

Especially since it was on clearance for $3. When it was time for school I went out the door to walk him the two houses to school. He stopped and put his hand up in front of me to stop me as we got onto the porch. He said he was going to walk by himself. I kind of chuckled and said that was fine and that I'd just watch from the porch. Then he informed me that he would prefer I just watch from the window inside. So inside I went as I watched him swinging his McQueen lunchbox all the way to preschool.

Side Note: I was checking the Walmart receipt a day or two later and noticed that they didn't give me the clearance $3 price for our sweet lunchbox. Nope, they charged me $7.88. Grrrrr. Of course we had already taken the tags off and thrown them away. I swear one of these days I'm going to boycott that store!

He is hilarious! I love those stories. Sorry about the Walmart stuff. I hate that. There are so many things that drive me crazy about Walmart, but I still find myself going there all the time.
