This doesn't happen often

I got up at 6:15 this morning...without even using an alarm! I was able to see Jason off for his 2 day trip and then walk on the treadmill while reading my book. When I was finished the boys still weren't awake. Amazing. So I headed outside to do some weeding. I filled my bucket up once and headed back inside half expecting to find the kids awake. Nope. Just me still. So I read another chapter of my book.

Then Jonah woke up. He's been sleeping in underwear instead of a diaper so every morning is a surprise to see if his sheets are wet or dry. Well, he wasn't completely dry but he only got it on his blanket so I don't have to strip his bed. Perfect.

Next Graham woke up. He wanted oatmeal for breakfast. Always better than sugary cereal. After watching some cartoons he did his jobs without being reminded AND without complaining (refer to the post title). Then it was time to pay him his allowance. We are trying something new with different envelopes for him to save his money for different things. His allowance was $3. He put .30 cents into his tithing envelope. Good. Next came the "mission" envelope. Side note: Graham is NOT a saver! He spends ALL his money almost as soon as he gets it, so I wasn't sure how the "mission" envelope was going to work out. Well he chose to put a dime in it. A good start. We were down to the two last envelopes and he had $2.60 left. His last two envelopes were "saving" and "spend". I was pretty sure it was all going right into the "spend", but do you know what that kid did. He put ALL of it into the saving envelope and then said he wanted to save up to $40 so he could get a DS game. Impressive and suprising.

Before Graham left to play with his friends he graciously allowed Jonah to play with is legos (again refer to post title but add the word EVER instead of often). Jonah was in heaven and played happily until he asked if he could call and have Avery come play. Avery is over and I haven't heard them fight once!

Beckham slept till 8:30 and woke up smiling.

How long can my luck hold out!

Well, I must say that you must be doing something quite right. You are deserving. Maybe I am being punished for something I did long ago... I dream of your day and OFTEN! Congrats to you. I am very, very green(with envy that is).

Good thing you made a note of this. What a great thing to look back on. Of course when you're 80, looking back, every day will have been like this. :)
