So sad.
We weren't about to buy a fake tree! I love the smell of a fresh Christmas tree in our house. So the Saturday after Thanksgiving we were off to the nearest tree lot. It usually takes us an entire afternoon to cut our tree down. We drive an hour and half to the right spot. Spend 20 min. getting all bundled up. Take an hour to pick a tree because we have to keep stopping for potty breaks in the bushes. Another 20 min. when we are done to get unbundled and back in the car. And then the hour and a half drive home. This year it took 5 min. to get from our house to the lot with no bundling involved. I wasn't going to let this year go undocumented just because we weren't doing the cutting so here is our trip in pictures.

Graham being, well, Graham.
Our little tree hugger.
Our view. Not quite like being in the mountains.
This is the one. It didn't really matter which one we picked they all looked the same. No character just perfectly shaped Christmas trees.
The boys frolicking in the winter wonderland.
Now, to decorate the tree...

Your tree looks beautiful and those pictures are great. I'm sorry you were sick the day you were going to pick up your permit though. I have a fake tree.
It looks like you guys picked out a good one. Can't wait to see it all decorated. I have a feeling if we ever went and bought one I wouldn't have enough decorations to cover even half of it because the trees you cut down are a bit more sparse. I like to call it having character but sometimes I wish we had a big bushy tree so enjoy this year.
