It finally came. He waited soooo long for it. It was so special that they even cancelled school for it (ok so it was a professional development day). OCTOBER 5 WAHOO! Graham turned the big 08!
We had lunch at Brick Oven and Graham got a big birthday rootbeer float.
This is Jonah and Jason giving Graham a big birthday wink.
Graham really wanted to go to Lagoon for his birthday but it just wasn't meant to be so we ended up at good old Trafalga to go golfing.
Normally we are a rule abiding family but when we saw this sign
and then hit our ball through the school house to have it land in this big old swamp, well someone had to go in and get the balls.
Lucky for us Jonah had on his galoshes!
For his cake this year Graham wanted a BYU and Utah cake. I'm not super cake crafty but Jason had the idea to make the two mountain ranges with the U and Y and then put the freeway in between them. This was my attempt. It's not stellar in fact it looks like a really weird smiley face, but Graham was happy.

Love the cake, I don't even attempt to make my own, so I am impressed! Aidan did the Trafalga thing for his b-day too. Looks like you guys had fun.
Wow, hard to believe that little baby that Sophie and I went to see in Idaho is eight already! And of course he is VERY handsome!
I can't believe he is EIGHT! Seems like just yesterday I was up in Idaho with my mom seeing him for the first time. He is such a good boy! We sure love him. Happy Birthday Graham!
Well it looks like everyone else said what I was going to say. It's already been 8 years! Though I have to say it seems like forever since we've seen you guys. I know it's been at least 6 years anyway.
Graham is such a handsome little guy. And that Jonah is just way too cute! Love the wink.
Awesome cake! I'm surprised he wanted both BYU and Utah. Last year I remember a lot of "BYU sucks" comments from Graham. He must have had his heart softened since I am a cougar... okay, maybe not!
I am also glad Jonah had on his galoshes so he could rescue the ball.
