We're special

Our new bike trailer doubles as a jogging stroller. Seeing as how I don't jog I'd only used it as a trailer not a stroller. On a whim I decided to give it a try. First I put both boys in it so I was pushing about 100lbs. After 10 min. or so Graham wanted out and since we had brought his roller blades (really they're mine, I mean they are pink and black) he put those on and off we went again. This is where my judgement goes horribly wrong, well more like my depth perception. So I'm running on the sidewalk and there is a fence with big cement pillars every so often and not remembering that my bike trailer/jogging stroller has these guard rail things around the tires I get too close to the cement pillar and WHAM the stroller comes to a screeching halt, I go FLYING into the stroller with my shin hitting the guard rail thing and Graham comes careening into me from behind and ends up smashing into the fence. It left me with a pretty good indent in my shin and I could barely walk but I was 1 1/2 miles from home in either direction so I put Graham back in the stroller and hobbled on home with another GREAT reason why I should NEVER go jogging again!

Jason takes leftover to work for lunch. The other morning he grabbed alfredo. After he warmed it up at work he realized that it was just the sauce and no noodles (he was going to remember to add noodles later but forgot, oops). So he sat and ate a tupperware full of alfredo sauce for lunch.

We were eating dinner the other night and Jonah knocked over his smoothie. As I reached over to help clean it up I knocked over Graham's smoothie. Nice.

I was at mom and dad's the other day and as I was backing out of their drive way I remembered the garbage cans are usually out so I quickly turned and looked right as I barreled into them. I got out and picked up the can and thought all was well and went to Costco. When I went to put the groceries in the trunk I noticed a 1-2 in. crack in the tail light...oops. I hate having to call Jason and tell him when I do special things so I was feeling pretty lucky when I got his voicemail. On his way home from work he called and didn't mention the incident so I asked if he got my message. He said he tried but accidentally deleted it. So I had to explain the whole thing over again. After he was really quiet and then I heard him laughing. He told me he had heard the message he just thought it was funny for me to have to explain it again.

I am sitting here laughing because I did the same thing at my mom and dad's. I totally plowed over their garbage cans one day and thought I hadn't done any damage to the car until the next day and I noticed the paint scraped off the bummper! Opps!!
I love your girls camp theme, so cute!!

That is hilarious! I love reading your posts. You guys really are and really have something special... the ability to laugh. Although, now maybe I'm thinking that I can't remember you mentioning a part where you laughed...

Thanks for a great laugh today - totally needed it! I'm glad we're not the only "special" ones in the neighborhood! That's all my blog would be about if I actually wrote down all of our tender moments like that! :)

Oh you guys are special! I think it is funny that Jason made you tell him what had happened even though he already knew. I hope your wound is better.

Man, I miss you! You always could bring a smile to my face!
We were driving up to SLC one day and I was mentioning to Larry how it would be so fun to see you guys since you just live "right over there." He was like, "Well, let's go see them." Too bad I don't really know where you live (just the town, I think). You may have had unexpected visitors show up on your doorstep. Maybe next trip!

I LOVE it! You had one of those weeks where you look around to make sure noone else saw what happened!
