"Hoppy Easter"
We started off the festivities with Graham's class party. It was my easiest party yet!
Next we celebrated Grandpa Bob's 90th birthday at the Asian Buffet. Where Uncle Bobby "peeled" out in his sweet car and almost gave Graham a heart attack :)
Then we moved on to the ever "egg"citing egg decorating. We didn't buy a kit, instead we just used food coloring and a white crayon and made these beauties. Of course Graham had to make a Utah and BYU egg. Jonah liked stirring his eggs around but was a little confused at first and tried to eat the food coloring mixture. YUCK!
(Making muscles in our Easter picture)
After a traumatic St. Patrick's Day involving us pretending to be a leprechaun named Lep and Graham going all crazy trying to catch Lep we decided to just let the truth out.
THERE IS NO EASTER BUNNY, IT WAS MOM AND DAD THAT FILLED YOUR BASKET WITH ALL THOSE YUMMY TREATS!
He took it really well. In fact, I think he preferred it that way. Then the sweet boy runs upstairs and comes back down with his money and gives some to both of us. He said since we gave him something for Easter he wanted to give us something. Aaaahhhh, Jason asked if he could use the money to buy a hug from him. That made Graham's day, he got a hug and his money back!

That was so thoughtful of Graham and a great way to earn his money back. I think I am a fan of dying with food coloring rather than the kits (it seems like the colors are better). Glad you had a good holiday. Ellie hasn't really said too much about the Easter bunny so I am thinking it is a good idea just to have it be mom and dad also. One less person to pretend about, right?
What a fun family! I am glad that the Easter party was the easiest yet. It seemed to go really well and all of the kids LOVED it. Sorry I missed some of it (I figured I would take advantage of the time and make some copies, but of course the machine kept jamming so it took much longer than I planned.) THANK YOU!
That's cute of Graham. You guys always look like you have so much fun. Hope the bday bash was a blast!
I am so glad to hear that I am not the only one who doesn't believe in the Easter Bunny. Something about an oversized, jumping bunny that brings gifts that is hard to wrap your finger around. My kids absolutely know that we fill the baskets and it has always been this way.
Thanks for the fun Easter story - our big nod to the holiday was cooking ham for dinner. Oh yeah, and snagging some clearance candy at the store yesterday. Love the paying for a hug story!
I don't think I ever believed in the Easter Bunny. If it wasn't for friends and school my boys wouldn't either. I should be strong and just come out with the truth, but then they would question everything-tooth fairy, santa, leprechauns...
that sounds like a fun easter. i'm so glad we got to see you for a bit. i sure love your boys! oh and you and jas!
What sweet boys you have!! I love the muscle Easter pic! Way to let the cat out of the bag about the bunny! I've been thinking of doing the same thing.....
Happy Easter! Looks like you had a great day. I am so glad that I am not the only one that told my kids the easter bunny is not real. I figure they have enought stuff to believe in and I think easter is overrated with all the bunny crap! Love ya!
It looks like you guys have been staying busy!!! I had to catch up on your blog tonight. I need to get on the computer more, life has been crazy!!
I don't think that we are missing one, but you never know. I'll have to stop by this week. Colton has been wanting to play anyways.
That is such a sweet Easter story. Loved it. What a sweet boy.
Yeah for Grandpa Bob! What a great story, you guys are good examples. Thanks.
Great seeing your blog!! Hope all is well with you and yours.
