R.A.D. KIDS

Graham took the R.A.D. KIDS class a week or two ago.  It was amazing. He learned a lot about being safe, getting out of bad situations, and self defense.  His favorite part was learning how to hit (surprise).  My favorite part was that his instructors were amazing (Sonja and Jared) and that they volunteered their time to do it (10 hrs in a week)!  On Friday they got to put on all the safety gear and practice their moves on a dummy and on a real cop dressed in his safety gear.  The cop would grab them and start walking away with them and they would have to yell and hit and kick until he put them down and then they would RUN.I was so excited to video this part but then I accidentally had it on record while I was waiting and then hit pause when his turn started.  I have issues. Then he graduated! If you hold on to the certificate they give you you can retake the class at anytime (if it isn't full) for free anywhere you might be in the US.  This last clip I took because I was sad that I missed the other stuff.

I haven't heard of RAD before but it sounds like they learn a lot of great stuff. Hopefully they have it up here too. Is it for girls also?

I had no idea what that was when you told me. So cool. I'm going to have to watch for it if it's available again. I do that with the camera all of the time. Don't feel along my friend.

That's great! I've never heard of that before. Where is it? I totally laughed out loud when Graham climbed up and head butted the dummy! LOL! That is a great thing to put him in.
