So things got a little wiggly during President Packer's remarks and then the rest hymn came. We knew our luck wouldn't hold out another 40 min. so we were trying to decide if one of us should bolt for the exit with Jonah while everyone was standing up singing (so as not to be so obvious). We decided to pull out our last resort instead... the SUCKER. Ya, it's sticky and we are in Sunday clothes, but we are DESPERATE! The sucker lasted about 5 seconds until Jonah decided he wanted to go walk around. As he was passing by me I reached out to pull him back and that was the END. He let out a big huge wailing sound! I scooped him up and as I made my way to the exit I tried not to knock over the camera lady, almost ran into the sound guy in the portal exit and then burst into the hallway. I didn't know how far Jonah's sweet scream would carry and everything was echoing in the hall so we had to wander off pretty far to feel safe from bothering anyone. WHEW! I missed all of President Uchtdorf's talk and I made like 5 trips in the elevator trying to entertain Jo. Overall, I was happy that Graham had the experience of hearing Apostles speak (even though he was crying through the end because Jonah got a sucker and he didn't). Next time I think we might leave our little screamer home (I was impressed though that he made it an hour and a half before his melt down). Oh, then after church Jo decided to get into our bathroom drawer and get out the Vaseline and wipe it on stuff. Good times.

Stake Conference
Today was Stake Conference. Richard and Pam got us seats on the floor of the Marriott (does that have one t or two) Center. The speakers were so amazing. I loved what Elder Jensen said about people's differences and how we need to be nice and that he's sure there will only be kind people in the Celestial Kingdom. Sister Dibb was adorable. I had no idea she was President Monson's daughter. I was feeling pretty good about making it this far through the meeting. I mean we did have Graham and Jonah with us. Normally a few little boy noises here and there aren't a big deal but when you are on the floor of the Marriott Center surrounded by college students who aren't making a sound and then the camera girl is right next to you, you really start noticing everything. Like how we are the only ones with crayons spilled all over and gold fish squished into the floor.

Glad we weren't the only ones who wrestled for 2 hours! Kyler told me that church was like 10 hours today! You are braver than me, I wouldn't have attempted the marriot center.
I'm laughing at your story...you poor thing! I can totally hear the ear piercing scream! That boy has some lungs!! Sorry you missed the last part...but glad you got to have fun on the elevator! :)
Oh to be able to sit and listen to conference or sacrament meeting without any distractions. Good times. That is pretty good that he lasted so long.
That is pretty funny. I never heard anything on air (if that makes you feel better) Good story.
just know that your not the only one. I actually like when other peoples kids act up, then you don't feel like it's only yours.
YOu are so brave. Much braver than I! Sorry you missed the last part. So, what are the elevators like anyway? j/k
well I too missed the last part. I tried to hear by going into the Primary room, but it was just as noisy (I wasn't the only one that thought of escaping there). At least it was an 18 month old you were dealing with, most people understand...but not with a 4 year old...Maci was a beast!! I can't wait until the talks are published, I will get more out of reading the talks later. thanks for the sticky fun tonight!!
Oh yes...good times! My bribery tactic this year: Pez. It actually worked pretty good because they kind of had to concentrate to get the candy out. Not bad.
